GLORY wins "The 22nd Best Environment-Friendly Company Award"
GLORY has received "The Outstanding Performance Award" at the contest of "The 22nd Environment-Friendly Company Award" held by the Hyogo Prefectural Government of Japan.
The award is given to the business entity which has conducted excellent activities for the preservation of environment, or engaged in creation activities. Also, the purpose of the award is to assist in creating the new style of life that would fit the environment surrounding the people in Hyogo prefecture, and to promote corporate activities for the environmental preservation and creation activities.
This outstanding performance award has been given to GLORY in appreciation of the following backgrounds.
- GLORY conducted the forest conservation activity called "GLORY Yumesaki Forest" in collaboration with the local partners, administrators and forestry cooperative in order to promote the preservation of biodiversity. The activity involves planning and implementation of the forest improvement (thinning etc.) in the area covering the dimension of one (1) hectare for each year over 10 years from 2011, as well as the implementation of vegetation survey at forests, plains and waterfront area. The effects from the biodiversity activities will be evaluated continuously, aiming for the contribution in making the better regional environment.
- GLORY developed environment-conscious products by adopting two kinds of energy-saving modes, energy-saving parts, and redesigning electric circuits, and have realized the reduction of CO2 emission by more than 15% compared with the case of conventional machines.
- In 2008, GLORY was officially recognized by the minister of environment in Japan as a company authorized to dispose wastes on a wide-area basis without obtaining prior approval from each local government. GLORY is also aggressively promoting the recycle of the used products through promoting the wide-area waste collection service.
GLORY will keep promoting its biodiversity preservation activities jointly with each regional people, while promoting energy saving activities through the production of environment conscious products.
