Participated in the Forest Improvement Activity in Hachioji-City Tokyo
On May 18, 2024, twenty employees and their families from our company participated in the “Tokyo Greenship Action” at the Hachioji Takiyama Satoyama Conservation Area in Tokyo. This initiative is a nature conservation activity conducted in designated areas of Tokyo in collaboration with companies, NPOs, and other organizations to preserve the precious natural areas remaining in the city. This time, we carried out thinning of the bamboo forest.
On the day of the event, we used saws to thin out the dense bamboo forest, which had become so thick that sunlight could no longer penetrate. Afterward, we engaged in making items such as chopsticks and cups from the thinned bamboo. The day concluded with a fulfilling lunch and socializing, making it a productive and enjoyable day for all participants.
*Satoyama is an undeveloped woodland near a populated area.
